Today, I had a doctor's appointment and made the last minute decision to do some work remotely afterwards at a cafe while we were out. So, John and I went to the cafe "Coffee & Stone" in North Tonawanda. I ordered a hot chai latte with oat milk and a 'cookies and cream' cookie, which had cookie pieces baked into it. I was extremely impressed, both the drink and the cookie were divine! The drink was flavorful and creamy and the cookie was melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The prices were fairly reasonable as well, just under $10 for my drink and snack of choice. John got a cold brew with almond milk and a caprese panini on wheat, which also received praise.
The decor was.... interesting? It's a cafe in Western New York that is ocean / sea themed, and it's maybe just a bit too much. There is some hardcore pirate vibes going down, which does pair interesting with the tech bro across from the crying baby... it was around 10:30 am on a Tuesday, and it was packed with a diverse crowd. I started working on my laptop, but only five minutes in, my laptop's connection to the wifi took a shit (and of course someone had just asked me a question in my Discord DMs. le sigh!). I put in my order and waited for a little bit, but the signal never returned. We left shortly after I had gotten my order.
